Col. Dean C. Bellamy, (Ret.), United States Air Force and Nicolas M. Chaillan, former Air Force and Space Force Chief Software Officer have formally endorsed Lipsman.
Today, the campaign announced that Col. Dean C. Bellamy, (Ret.), United States Air Force and former Chief of the Policy and Strategy Group at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Nicolas M. Chaillan, former Air Force and Space Force Chief Software Officer have formally endorsed Lipsman, who spent her career in the intelligence and defense sectors before resigning to run for Congress full-time.
In a statement, Bellamy and Chaillan said:
“Electing someone who can lead on day one is imperative to Virginia and our country. The U.S. is facing tough adversaries all over the world: from Russia to China, our enemies are looking for weakness. Based on her background and expertise, Karina is ready to face our nation’s toughest challenges without hesitation. Not only is she uniquely qualified to understand these challenges, but she is prepared to act,” said Col. Bellamy.
“I have spent years working alongside Karina on sensitive defense and intelligence issues. I have witnessed firsthand her leadership ability - in a largely male dominated field no less - and her courage to stand by her convictions and decision making. She is the only candidate who has the international background, real world work experience, the intellect, temperament, and leadership ability to lead us towards a better future. Her background in defense and nuanced understanding of our biggest challenges prepare her to lead from the first day. She is well informed about international and domestic issues, is a deliberate thinker, and loves the diversity and the people who call Northern Virginia home,” said Mr. Chaillan.
