Today, Karina Lipsman, Congressional candidate for Virginia’s 8th District announced her campaign has hired Ellen Walter as a Senior Advisor and Campaign Strategist. Walter was a Senior Advisor to Glenn Youngkin for Governor, and worked for Presidents George H. W. Bush and Donald Trump, as well as numerous Congressmen.
“I’ve been around politics my whole life, and I’ve seen my fair share of candidates try, succeed, and fail. After hearing Karina’s background, her qualified experience and passion she has for representing everyone in Northern Virginia, I knew she has what it takes to beat Don Beyer,” said Walter. “Not only does Karina have my full endorsement, but I am excited to join her team in an official capacity to help push her over the finish line at the Convention, and ensure this district has a new face and a fresh vision looking forward, not backwards.”
Walter was instrumental in securing the female vote for Governor Youngkin and established the “Women for Glenn” group. Her team moved the needle 14 points from women Biden voters in 2020 to Youngkin voters in 2021. In her capacity with Lipsman, she will be leading the “Women for Karina” effort to ensure, for the first time, a female representative with serve the 8th District.
“I am thrilled to have the knowledge, expertise, and support of Ellen. She knows this area and has insight into what it takes to gain support of not just Conservatives, but Independents and Democrats who, prior to Youngkin, haven’t felt comfortable expressing their support for Republicans.
